This week, Thabi and Smanga showed us their version of 50 Shades of Grey and let's just say a lot of people watching the soapie couldn't handle the heat.

Thabi snatched Smanga's soul and caused many of us to go red in the face with embarrassment when their sex scene came on this week. If you watched that scene with your parents or grandparents, askies, we can only imagine the level of awkwardness that came upon you as Thabi submitted herself as Smanga's sex slave in front of the entire nation.

Many viewers have criticized the soapie for airing explicit content during the prime time slot, a time which has many families watching TV together.

The SABC has since heard the viewers complaints and has decided not to air Generations' reruns for this weekend.

The national broadcasting station has since released a statement about the canceled omnibus.

"SABC 1 has taken a decision to pull off the Generations - The Legacy Omnibus for this week’s episodes which were scheduled to air tomorrow, Saturday, the 22nd of July 2017. This is due to the viewer complaints the channel has received about the alleged explicit content shown during this week’s episodes of the popular soapie.

The channel will replace this week’s episodes by airing the first 5 episodes of Generations – The Legacy that first went to air on the 1st till the of 5th December 2014, from 11h00 – 13h30.

We would like to assure our viewers that we take their feedback seriously and would like to apologize for any inconvenience or discomfort this week’s episodes may have caused.

Stay tuned to SABC1 tomorrow for two and half hours, and throw back to where Generations - the Legacy all started."

Well there you have it, folks, at least SABC will offer you some throwback reruns in the meantime.
