Tony Forbes To Nadia: “I Knew You Were Right For My Boy”

AKA’s father Tony Forbes took to Instagran on Instagram on 15 March to pen a sweet post dedicated to AKA’s girlfriend Nadia Nakai, following the death of the rapper last month.

AKA was shot dead outside a restaurant in Durban ahead of his performance in the city. Nadia has been receiving outpouring messages of love, comfort, and support from the public after losing her boyfriend.

Tony and his family have been mourning together with Nadia and they did not exclude her in anything during the late rapper’s memorial and funeral service, despite the fact that they were not married to AKA.

Tony showed appreciation to Nadia in a sweet note to Nadia, thanking her for loving his son unconditionally.

“@nadianakai Nadia, from the first day that I met you, I knew you were right for my boy. See that smile on his dial! Thank you [for] loving him, he loved you truly. We love you. ❤️.”

Nadia Nakai replied,  “Thank you, I love you too ❤️❤️❤️.”

It’s been over a month since AKA was assassinated. Nadia recently posted a tribute message to him. She expressed how heartbroken she was over his death.

“My heart is shattered. This is not what our future was meant to look like. I can’t believe I said my final goodbye to you yesterday. I’ll never see you again for the rest of my life. You loved me loud and proud, thank you, baby. Protected me, prayed for me, and, inspired me. I find it hard to breathe let alone find the words to explain how much I love you,” she wrote. 

Nadia expressed her desire to spend the rest of her life with AKA, saying that she thought she would spend her entire life with him, but AKA is the one who spent his whole life with her.

“I’m going to miss all the special moments we’ve had. This hurts. I can’t come to terms with the fact that I’ll never hear you say you love me, I’ll never hear your laugh. We had plans.
