Eddie Murphy was honored with the Mark Twain humour prize by a host of comedians, including Trevor Noah.

Chris Rock, George Lopez, and Kathy Griffin were just some of the artists who performed in Eddie’s honour at the Kennedy Center in Washington on Sunday night.

The Mark Twain prize is considered to be the USA’s top accolade for comedians.

Will Ferrell, Whoopi Goldberg, and Tina Fey have previously won the award.

Trevor Noah posted a picture with talkshow host and comedian Arsenio Hall on Instagram during rehearsals ahead of the big night.

He also was pictured backstage with George Lopez.

It seems Trevor is part of the US comedy family now, and has been seen having lunch with Dave Chappelle and Kevin Nealon.
