Television host Angie Diale has passed away at the age of 55. This was apparently confirmed by her family in a statement sent to Daily Sun, adding that the cause of death was a result of a short illness.

The media personality who hosted your favourite TV shows, died from an infection called pneumonia. In the statement, her family confirmed that she passed away during the early hours of Thursday morning, December 23.
“She was suffering from shortness of breath and subsequently treated at Tshepo Themba Hospital yesterday. She was later transferred to Leratong, where she sadly passed in the early hours of the morning.
“We kindly request to be afforded some privacy and time to deal with this sudden loss. Details of the memorial service and funeral will be confirmed at a later stage,” the statement reads.
Angie Diale is known for her extensive work in mending broken families on popular TV talk shows including Relate on SABC 1 and Please Step in on Mzansi Magic. She was not only a presenter but she was also a life coach and HIV/Aids activist who opened up about being diagnosed with HIV almost two decades ago.
On Twitter, the news got broken by Phil Mphela who had a close working relationship with Angie years back.
"Greatest loss in our culture. Their work and influence is immeasurable, believe me, anyone who met these two women will tell, their spirit and compassion was incomparable. Worked with Sis Angie on the Khomanani Campaign few years ago.
"Angie Diale saved lives. She destigmatized HIV. Hers is a legacy that deserves acknowledgement for generations to come. We lost a giant."
Another media personality who passed away this month was Real Housewives Of Johannesburg reality star, Naledi Willers. She had been battling breast cancer.
Before her family could confirm, her close friend Ndo Maleho paid a moving tribute to Naledi: "Rest in peace my friend. @nana01gp You fought a good fight. Mma and Humile did the best in keeping you comfortable and providing the best possible care. Go tseba Modimo feela gore what made us meet last week. You held my hand and I told you, I love you and that you once made me drive to Botswana ka nkane. Then you made fun of my suit and called it a “ZCC suit” because it was green. Your very last words to me. The pain is now over. You are now at peace. I am heartbroken but may God give Mama strength. Rest in peace my friend. Till we meet again. I love you!," he shared
Just a few days ago, 7 De Laan actress Themsie Times also passed away. She was best known for her role as Maria Zibula in the SABC 2 soap opera 7de Laan.

Her passing was confirmed by the soapie's publicity manager Kayleen Bessit to Tshisa Live. “It is unfortunately true. As far as I understand she passed yesterday. She’s obviously not been a part of the show for a very long time. She’s always been an integral part of the show," the publicist said. Her cause of death has not yet been revealed, but she was 70 when she died.
