International superstar Beyonce Knowles-Carter kicked off her latest stadium world tour in support of her latest critically acclaimed studio album Renaissance on Wednesday, 10 May 2023 in Stockholm. As much as the tour was one of the most anticipated social events of the year.

South Africans had little to expect as homage to the country given that Beyonce has yet to confirm if her tour would eventually come to the country. But now it seems that the chances of South Africa eventually landing on the Renaissance World Tour 2024 dates have increased exponentially.
This comes as Beyonce referenced two notable South African acts during her debut Renaissance World Tour performance.
Beyonce becomes the latest star to co-sign Uncle Waffles
Back in 2019, Beyonce released her soundtrack to The Lion King's live-action movie titled The Lion King: The Gift. On the album, there was the single My Power, which featured South Africa’s Moonchild Sanelly and Busiswa.
As such, Busiswa was surprised when viral clips of Beyonce using her vocals during the tour were circulated. When asked if she was aware, Busiswa confirmed that she was not and that she is in South Africa enjoying the clips like the rest of the country.
However, the biggest surprise came when Beyonce co-signed Uncle Waffles. This is as, during one of the transitions during the concert, Uncle Waffles’ Tanzania’s instrumental was sampled. As soon as Uncle Waffles was made aware, she took to Twitter to celebrate with the rest of the country.
In light of her recent co-sign by Beyonce, Uncle Waffles cements herself as one of the most successful Amapiano exports. This comes as she recent added Ciara as yet another US superstar that is in love with her. As reported:
Following her Certified Gold 2023 Project "Asylum" announcement after just one week of being released, Uncle Waffles continues her upwards trajectory. This past weekend saw her kick off her USA Tour by re-introducing the Amapiano genre to Coachella, as the first Amapiano DJ to perform on one of the main stages at the esteemed international music festival.
As Uncle Waffles was making history. It seems that more than just the general audience was falling in love with her. This is as yet another US A-lister has taken to social media to share their love for her.
Uncle Waffles receives love from Ciara
In the early hours of Tuesday, 25 April 2023, Ciara took to her Instagram stories to share her love for Uncle Waffles. This is as she shared a video from Uncle Waffles’ second weekend at Coachella and added a caption fawning over the Tanzania hitmaker.
