The all-women selection panel line-up includes respected and influential personalities with reigning Miss Universe Andrea Meza joined by Miss Universe 2015, TV personality, model and actress Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach; former Miss South Africa title holders Basetsana Kumalo (1994) and Tamaryn Green (2018); actress Shannon Esra (The Queen); vice-chancellor of the University of Cape Town Mamokgethi Phakeng and radio and TV presenter Dineo Ranaka.

Zozibini won the hearts of many people when she clinched the Miss Universe 2019 crown. When Steve Harvey asked her what should we be teaching young girls, Zozibini's eloquent response left many convinced that she was fit to become the next Miss Universe. The beauty responded by saying,
"The most important thing we should be teaching young girls today is leadership. It's something that has been lacking for a long time. Not because we don't want to, but because of how society has labelled women," she told Harvey. "I think we are the most powerful beings in the world and that we should be given every opportunity. That is what we should be teaching these young girls. To take up space. Nothing is as important as taking up space in society and cementing yourself." She had a good run as Miss Universe 2022 and she hasn't stopped making boss moves.
We look forward to the Miss SA 2021 season finale.
