Zozibini continues to reign supreme in her career and we are proud of how she has evolved over the years. The model is made history as the first black South African beauty queen to be crowned Miss Universe in 2019. Her beauty, confidence and intelligence have won the hearts of many people.
Now she joins the like of Viola Davis and Thuso Mbedu in the highly anticipated The Woman King film which is set to be released in September 2022.
Taking to her Instagram account, she expressed how excited she is about her newest gig. "I am so honored and excited to announce that I have been cast for the film, The Woman King ( @womankingmovie ) . It is a completely new world and first time experience for me so I enter it with the utmost respect and humility. Forever grateful and looking forward ❤ #TheWomanKing," she announced.
Her followers took to the comment section to congratulate her.
Thuso Mbedu who stars in the film recently she expressed excitement about working with Viola. Speaking to W Magazine she said she has studied Viola and how she operates, she then drew a conclusion that they approach their work in similar ways.
“Viola said that she puts an emphasis on finding the why of any character—the reason this character makes any of the choices they make. For the longest time, before coming across that interview, whenever people would ask me about my process, I didn’t know how to articulate it. Listening to her, I thought, That’s exactly how I approach my work!”
On her acting skills, she said, “I want my fighting skills to be somewhere in the vicinity of my performance skills. With the performance, I do all the preparation, and then sort of stow it away and let it live in the moment. I want to get the fighting to a place where it would also come as naturally as possible."
Zozibini recently celebrated one year since she was crowned Miss Universe 2019.
"I can't believe it's been 2 years already. In this 2nd year of my @missuniverse crowning anniversary I am reminded of purpose. I've always known from a very young age that I wanted my life to count for something special that would be meaningful not only to/for myself but for others as well. I wanted to make a contribution, even if just a small fraction to the Universe. My heart swells with gratitude and pride whenever people from different spheres of life tell me that this win moved or touched their lives in some way because that is exactly what I hoped it would do," she wrote.
We cannot wait to see the film.
