Miss Universe Zozibini Tunzi is slaying the May cover of Cosmopolitan magazine.

The magazine's May issue celebrates Africa Month and celebrates Mzansi fashion designers and beauty products made in South Africa by South Africans.

The beauty queen who hails from Tsolo dazzles on the cover in hot pink blazer and shares with the magazine how's she's rewriting the pageantry rulebook and what taking up space means.

Zozi took to Instagram to share the cover with her fans and followers and shared a fond childhood memory of her uncle who spoke life into his niece's life.

"This actually reminds me of my late uncle, we used to call him Mchina. Everytime I came home kuTsolo even growing up as a child he used to say "awumhle MamTolo ngathi uzovela kwi khatarok(magazinešŸ¤£), ufanele yi katharok". Translated to "You look so beautiful like you should be on a magazine, you belong in a magazine",[sic]" shared Zozi

At the time, Zozi didn't think much of her late uncle's words but several years later and she has been crowned Miss South Africa 2019 and Miss Universe 2019" and covering magazines, those words hit differently.

"At that time this was something that seemed unattainable to a village girl sitting on a stoep with his uncle," shared Zozi.
