The couple was in Ghana this past weekend, and they wereapparently involved in an altercation that saw Nadia leaving AKA in the country the next morning. A source told Daily Sun that AKA allegedly assaulted her at the venue and at the hotel.

“He allegedly assaulted her at the venue in full view of people. When he arrived at the hotel, he went into a room where she was chilling with other people and allegedly attacked the promoter who had booked them. He allegedly punched him several times and then went back to Nadia. He had to be restrained and once calm, he broke down and cried," said the source.

When contacted by the SunTeam Nadia poured cold water on the claims. She said she was not assaulted.“It never happened. I was not assaulted in any way. We just got into an argument and that is all,” she said. In a joint statement to the paper, the couple said there's no drama between them.

“What we took to be light interactions with industry peers have been twisted by outsiders. There was no physical or verbal altercation. We are fine and there’s no drama between us.”

The pair recently decided to go public. AKA sealed their romance with a kiss on social media. This follows after AKA shared a video of them looking hella cozy while Nadia was sitting on his lap. He captioned the video "Mega 2 Mega."
According to rumours, the pair had unfollowed each other on Instagram over the weekend, but it appears they still follow each other. This has sparked rumors that they are no longer together.

AKA also posted a cryptic Instagram story that reads, "I will not let another woman degrade me". His Instagram story has raised eyebrows and further fueled rumors that they have broken up.

When the pair went public with their relationship, they shook many people as AKA was still mourning the death of his late fiancée Nellie Tembe. The budding chef fell to her death at the Pepperclub Hotel in Cape Town last year in April. On the 1st anniversary of her death, AKA penned an emotional Tweet remembering her.

"I’ll remember this day for the rest of my life. 11/04/2021. Everyday I pray for the healing of your family and my family. I hope one day we can all come together and pay our respects to you and your memory at the same place and at the same time," he tweeted.
It is no secret that AKA's love life has always been dramatic. The rapper was previously romantically linked with his baby mama DJ Zinhle and they broke up in 2020.

Although the two are no longer together, they are killing it at co-parenting. Zinhle recently revealed that she wants to have a blended family setup. She revealed this on her reality show Zinhle- Unexpected. “Bongani is baby steps because I won’t lie… I thought Bongani is going to be the easy one about this whole thing and I thought Kiernan would be difficult but actually it is the other way around, "she said.

“Kiernan is more open to the idea of having this family but Bongani is just taking his time. He is not in a rush and I also need to respect Bongani’s wishes and how he wants to roll this whole thing out,” she said.

Zinhle and AKA called it quits in 2015, after AKA allegedly cheated on her with Bonang Matheba. The pair used to be Mzansi's favorite celebrity couple. They traveled the world together, and Bonang even appeared on his music video The World Is Yours. Unfortunately, in 2017 they broke up leaving everyone shook.

Following their breakup, Zinhle and AKA eventually rekindled their love after but in 2020, they called it quits. According to reports, the couple ended things after there were too many people who interfered with their relationship,. Zinhle was allegedly controlling, and AKA's mum, Lynn Forbes, always sided with her during their arguments.
