Fashion photographer Andrea Baioni has taken an interest in South African fashion and is working with local fashion designers.
The project not only showcases fashion designers but also tells an authentic story of the non-binary youth of Johannesburg.
" I wanted to mix people from different walks of life, without straight up showing what defines them or how they identify themselves, letting the viewer now only about the fact that the person they're looking at might be gay, transgender, non binary, straight, however they might identify themselves. Seeing them as people, and just that, basically." said the Milan, Italy based photographer.
Thebe Magugu, Clive Rundle, Nao Serati, Mmuso Maxwell, Simon and Mary at The Moral Kiosk, Shaazia Adams, Cindy Mfabe, Maylee from Coke Threads and Fikile Sokhulu are the designers featured in the project and it is very clear why.
