Organizers of the upcoming Women In Media Conference have announced their intention to sue the booking agency they paid to secure American actress, Taraji P. Henson after Henson denied any involvement in #WIMCon2018.
In a statement released via social media, the organisers explained what had happened in their quest to book Henson and other keynote speakers, for which they paid a deposit and signed an MOU with the booking agencies in question, Superstar Agency and 42 West.

"We have instructed our lawyers to take legal action against Superstar Agency and 42 West to recover monies paid over and to further sue for reputational damage that this unfortunate saga has had on our event and the associated brands that are aligned to it," explained 21st Century Global.
They went on to add that they are prepared for any countersuits brought aganist them.
"We are committed to clearing our name, which has been unnecessarily tarnished by this unfortunate incident. 21st Century Group will be defending any counter legal action taken against it by Superstar Agency and 42 West."
After Henson denounced the event, Bonang Matheba and other keynote speakers pulled out of the event and the organizers have had to initaite a process to allow for refunds on tickets purchased prior to the line-up saga.
