The live concert featured in the DVD was recorded at Gold Reef City’s Lyric Theatre in June this year, and the Daily Sun reports that it will be released on Monday, 25 November.

Entitled ‘Gift and Take’ - the translated title of her second album ‘Ina Ethe’ - Zonke said of the recorded live show: “I wanted to create an atmosphere as if the audience was seated in my home. The set design was built around the look and feel of a large entertainment room in my created mansion.
“The audience are the VIP guests and I am here to tell my story.
“2012 and 2013 have been amazing for me and people have been asking me to release a DVD, so I thought: why not.”
And of her journey as a musician, she added: “Sometimes an artist feels like people are not responding. I took time to look within myself to see what about me was not appealing to people and that’s when I wrote ‘Jik’izinto’.
“The song came at a turning point in my life when I was beginning to think positively. My belief in God was restored and I stayed true to my craft.
“I stopped paying attention to people who were saying I sound American, especially when it’s obvious R&B has a place in this country.”
