We're just over 48 hours away from this year's Fireman's Ball and it looks like it's going to be an absolute blast. You always know what you're going to get out of Fireman's Ball each year: Fabulous flair, amazing music, energetic dancing and a general mood to party until your face falls off!
But there's just something about this year's 6th Annual Fireman's Ball that has us even more amped than we usually are. Maybe it's because it's been a long (but hopefully fruitful!) year for everybody involved; maybe it's the presence of a globally popular porn star; whatever the reason might be, there's definitely a buzz in the air and we couldn't keep our excitement to ourselves. Here are three reasons why we are looking forward to this year's Fireman's Ball:
1. Pierre Fitch
Any event with an internationally renowned pornstar headlining as well as DJ-ing is guaranteed to be a spectacle. With Canadian pornstar, actor and DJ, Pierre Fitch in the mix at this year's Fireman's Ball, a spectacle is exactly what we're guaranteed. One thing I've come to expect of my gay friends is unadulterated wild time at parties.
It's this kind of attitude that has made the Fireman's Ball the biggest gay party in Johannesburg. With Pierre Fitch involved, it's not only bigger and more global; it's a hell of a lot sexier too!
2. Seeing Mika Stefano DJ!
Right, so we (on ZAlebs) interviewed Mika Stefano the other day and he promised us that he'd be turning it up on the decks at this year's Fireman's Ball.
"It's just tricky because I like a lot of different music! EDM, hip hop, pop, rock... I'll need to bring out the absolute true me in my music!"
Mika, we're absolutely certain you're going to pull it off with aplomb! I can't wait to declare him as SA's most fabulous blogger-turned-DJ, even if it's only for the night!
3. Doing it all again in Cape Town the next day!
For the first time this year, the Fireman's Ball will also be making its way to Cape Town for a second night of ridiculous partying. As old age has caught up with me, I've realised that my energy levels are not where they used to be but ignore me; anyone who's in the mood for a crazy weekend should get on a flight to the Mother City and get ready to tear this Fitch a new one (See what I did there?)
This year's Fireman's Ball is definitely NOT one to miss, I know I certainly won't!
