AKA had an interview recently where Anatii came up as a talking point and AKA let the people know he put him on.

Before he released Iyeza in 2018, Anatii released a collab album with AKA in 2017. It was titled Don’t Forget To Pray and fans heard Anatii rapping in venac (his home language Xhosa) for the first time.

AKA said it was his idea for Anatii to do that. During the interview, the rapper said he questioned Anatii  as to why he was communicating his art to the public in English? According to Supa Mega, after that conversation he also got Yanga to write for Anatii.

AKA also mentioned he has a lot of respect for Anatii and felt that he was like a little brother to him, even if they didn't always get along - exactly how brother bicker.

Despite the bickering, it seems like the respect for AKA is mutual from Anatii's side. Seeing as AKA is one of Mzansi's biggest artists, Anatii heard AKA's thoughts and made the switch in his career.

Do you think if Anatii didn't take AKA's advise, he'd flourish in the same way he has since making the switch?
