We were first introduced to Asavela Mngqithi when she bagged the role of Ntwenhle on Mzansi Magic's Isibaya and since her time on the show, the starlet has become one of South Africa's most-followed celebs.
The star who was born and raised in Durban is no stranger to the spotlight, she is the daughter of famous football coach Manqoba Mngqithi, so fame is something she is used to.
Although Asavela has been in the entertainment industry for a little while, she learned earlier on in her career, the importance of keeping her private life out of tabloid fodder. The beauty is super secretive about her life and only shares glimpses of her interpersonal life on special occasions like now.
Taking to Instagram, Asavela revealed that she is officially off the market and that she is now married, "This time last week two families were officially united," she captioned one of the snaps she posted.
In another post, she then went on to write, "On Friday I officially became Mrs Mqokiyana"
It seems like love was in the air last weekend because a number of our local stars got married then. On Sunday, Denise Zimba said, 'I do' in a star-studded wedding in Cape Town. The guestlist of her wedding seemed like a movie premiere, it included Pearl Modiadie, Lorna Maseko, Sihle Ndaba, and Zola Nene just to name a few stars. Taking to her social media accounts, Denise wrote a touching tribute to her new husband, “To God I give thanks and Glory … for this beautiful day …Glory to thee for blessing me with a man so kind and gentle and abundantly loving! Glory to thee for shining grace and light to all who are here to celebrate jakob and my union, i thank you!" she captioned one of the posts in part.
