Oh no! There will be no Big Brother Africa this year.
The reality show, which sees a number of African contestants battling it out for a cash prize, has reportedly been canned due to financial issues.
The Manager of Multichoice Ghana, Anne Sackey, reportedly confirmed to Razz Newspaper that Multichoice Ghana had received a notice from MNet, informing them that this year's edition will not take place. Although she didn't give further details, it is believed that the cancellation is due to sponsorship issues.
She was quoted as saying: "They didn’t give us any reason though, but I think it’s mainly because of cash constraints as we all know the show is very expensive to put up."
Yho! That's a bummer.
