Every year MTV gathers a panel to rank the best MCs in order to shake up the game and acknowledge hardwork. The #BaseHottestMCs list is often met with a whole lot of criticism from people who totally disagree with the rankings.
This year is no different as some have concluded that the list is based on opinions of others and that there could never be a clear winner. For fans, the list neans nothing unless their fave is number 1 or at least in the top 3.
Artists, on the other hand, are triggered that their hard work often goes unnoticed or at least not the way they would like it to.
One rapper who was deeply touched by the list is Nadia Nakai. Her position in the top 10 did not impress her and her fans as she is still at number 10.
In a series of tweets she expressed her disappointment; claiming that the industry does not acknowledge her growth. BrAGGA, in esponse to fans, she said she is not angry, but hurt.

Responding to a tweep who said that the people who are on the list also made moves that's why they deserve to be there, she disagreed and said SHE made moves (could imply that she made bigger ones.)
"Again, LIKE I ain’t been doing shit, same place as last year? For real? there’s ni**as on the list that really weren’t doing half as much as I did #NoCap... hmmmmm but if I say it, I’m hating," she tweeted.
Nadia was not looking to come across as thick-skinned and showed her vulnerable side when she said she is only human.

A rapper that always has her back, Cassper Nyovest, came to her defense as he, too, was outraged. Mufasa reckons that signing Nadia was probably something he should not have done because her hard work is over shadowed by his beefs.

In support, Cassper had a sweet message for Nadia. He tweeted: "Baby girl!!! Ima ride with you until. Keep your head down and keep working!!! It'll all come together in the end!!! They gone respect your work in the end!!! I'm a fan and I see what you've done for femcees & SA Hip Hop as a whole. You're a fucking legend."
