Rapulana Seiphemo was born on 4 November 1969 in Meadowlands, Gauteng, South Africa. This is perhaps the shortest part of Rapulana Seiphemo's biography as there isn’t much information to share about his early childhood.

Rapulana Seiphemo went to Anchor Comprehensive High School in Soweto. For his university education, Rapulana went to Texas A&M University where he graduated with a degree in Acting, Sociology, Theatre Production & Psychology.

1989 saw the entry of Rapulana Seiphemo into the South African acting film. He started on a high after he delivered a masterclass in the film My Children, My Africa, a production by the Market Theatre Stage.

After his tours in South Africa and England, he travelled to the United States to further his knowledge and did a degree in Theatre Arts. 

On his return in 1995, he went into academics and taught at Federated Union of Black Artists Academy (Fuba Academy), Sibikwa Community Theatre Group the following year, and in 1997, at the University of Witwatersrand.

Some of the productions he featured in during this time included Merchant of Venice (1991), Saturday Night (1993), Piano Lessons (1996) and The Blacks.

Rapulana Seiphemo is also known for his roles in television. He is best remembered for his character Tau Magole on Generations but has also featured in Isidingo, Rhythm and Rights, Deafening Silence, Jump The Gun, Tarzan and Jane, and Highjack Stories.

In 2020, Rapulana Seiphemo joined "The Queen" where he plays the role of Hector Sebatar. This followed his unexpected exit from the long-running soapie Generations: The Legacy

Rapulana Seiphemo reunited with Connie Ferguson on The Queen after their much-heated romance endeared them to fans during their days on Generations as Karabo and Tau.  

In the wake of Shona Ferguson's death, there were rumours that Rapulana Seiphemeo was leaving "The Queen" but it turned out that it wasn't the case.

Away from the screen, Rapulana Seiphemo is a producer. Some of his productions include "White Wedding", "Paradise Stop", "Perfect Sishebo", "Task Force", and "Laugh Out Loud".

Rapulana Seiphemo also worked as a radio presenter on Motsweding FM. In 2019, he quit the station after one of his slots was axed. 

In the lead-up to his resignation, Rapulana was locked in disagreement with the station’s management.

Their union produced three children, one girl and two boys. Katlego Seiphemo, just like his father Rapulana is an actress. In fact, they’ve acted together in the film "Paradise Stop" where Katlego plays the role of Thato, daughter of a policeman Posto (Rapulana).

In 2016, Rapulana Seiphemo survived a nasty car accident that left him in the intensive care unit and left two people dead. According to police reports, Rapulana was fleeing from a botched hijacking incident. 

In an interview with Tshisha Live, Rapulana revealed that memories of that night still haunt him particularly when he’s on the road alone at night. He remains grateful for the support he’s received.

Numerous cheating allegations have been levelled against Rapulana Seiphemo. He had an affair with his then-girlfriend and fellow Generations actor Zoe Mthiyane with Zandile Tshukulu. Zandile and Rapulana reportedly sired a baby with whom he worked alongside onset.

Zoe Mthiyane and Rapulana called it quits and the latter was even axed from Generations. She blamed her exit from the show on Rapulana and his new girlfriend whom she said bullied her. 

This was not the first cheating scandal Rapulana was involved in. In 2015, he admitted to Drum that he was unfaithful to his wife Olga Rubeiro with two women (one’s unidentified, the other was Zoe Van Der Jeke. Rapulana was arrested for alleged assault, claims he’s denied.
