Announcing the news on Twitter, Big Concerts wrote: “JHB: Extra seats have been added to Dave Matthews and they’re selling fast. Don't miss out!”

These extra seated tickets are available from both Big Concerts and Computicket.

The American rock band will be supported by singer-songwriter Vusi Mahlasela, who signed to Dave Matthews’ ATO Records label in 2003. The African folk musician has actually collaborated with the Dave Matthews Band and can be heard on their song, ‘Everyday’. He received the SAMA Lifetime Achievement Award in 2012 and has shared the stage with many high-profile musicians, such as Sting, Paul Simon, Josh Groban, and Ladysmith Black Mambazo.

Dave Matthews started the Dave Matthews Band in 1991 and they released their first studio album, ‘Under the Table and Dreaming’, three years later. Their seventh studio album, 2009’s ‘Big Whiskey and the GrooGrux King’, reached number one on the Billboard 200 and made them the only other band next to Metallica to achieve five consecutive number-one debuts.

The Dave Matthews Band will be playing at Cape Town’s GrandWest Arena on 30 November and 1 December, and at the Coca-Cola Dome in Johannesburg on 3 December.

Tickets for the Joburg show range from R400 - R675, while those for the CT show are being sold for between R400 - R600.
