Maphorisa Defends Amapiano Over Claims That It Is Losing Its Relevance
After dominating the music industry, the Amapiano genre is said to be fizzling out. This is apparently due to the coronavirus outbreak that has put a halt on social gatherings.

With groove now only a part of our memories, tweeps reckon that Amapiano is no longer relevant as everyone is at home.

After Maphorisa released an ample amount of albums and singles days ago attempting to make music history. He and his record label BlaqBoy Music released six new projects in just under 24-hours. Even though his legions of fans appreciated the music, saying it will keep their thoughts occupied during the lockdown, some expressed their disapproval.

“Since the Lockdown began amapiano are slowly vanishing, noise pollution is down by 90%. If there wasn’t a Coronavirus outbreak by now Dj Maphorisa and uncle Kabza could have released another garbage album,” one user wrote.

Phori responded to a Tweep who said both the music duo and the music genre is tiring, saying he is tired of the Scorpion Kings’ multiple releases. He told the troll to stop talking about them.
