DJ Sbu came to the aid of a student who was struggling to pay her university fees - and Black Twitter was here for it!
The TV and radio entertainer trended on social media after a Pretoria student pleaded with him to help pay her outstanding account of R2500.
Without it she would not be able to get her results to graduate nor proceed to the next level.
But instead of Bhuti Sbu sending her an e-wallet, her offered to help in a more practical way.
The Mofaya entrepreneur invited the young woman to help sell his energy drink on the streets to commuters and drivers. He assured her that she would quickly make the money AND would learn some invaluable business skills.
He responded to her tweet by writing;"Let's all help @Laukiie_30 and others like her, help themselves. Let's teach them how to sell in the hot sun and make money. Let's meet this Saturday @ 10am Kit Kat Cash N Carry Pretoria WEST
We will be selling #MOFAYA."
And by the looks of it, the day was a success!
Pics circulated on the internet of the young student eagerly selling the product to happy customers and her quickly making the cash she needed so desperately.
Fans praised the star on social media for his savvy and street-smart hustle. They also heaped praise on Sbu for teaching the student how to make money, and not just handing it out.
Like mama always said - hard work never killed anyone!
