Reece Madlisa and Cyril Zuma are the duo popularly known as Amaroto. A duo which the two have asserted is not a band but a brotherhood. A brotherhood which will sometimes fight. However, when it comes to fulfilling their job as performers, they will bury the hatchet and give the people what they want.
Therefore, it came as a surprise when it was alleged that they had split and the recent actions of Reece were used as proof of the fact. As reported at the time:

In a move nobody saw coming, Amaroto has apparently gone their separate ways. They have been friends since childhood and have made hits over the years. The Amapiano duo is most popular for their songs Umsebenzi Wethu, Megalo, Insimbi Zase Envy and Sithi Sithi, which are just about a few of their popular songs.
Fans grew concerned after rumours swirled that the members are at loggerheads and have decided to split. However, neither has addressed these claims. Instead, Reece Madlisa announcing his solo project made things worse.
But now it seems that fans have found new hope that this might just be rumours and speculation.
Amaroto fans cling to upcoming Cotton Fest for hope
On Saturday, 4 February 2023, Cotton Fest is set to host the first concert that was planned without the influence or guidance of late rapper and presumed founder of the festival Riky Rick. This is as his untimely passing back in 2022 when he took his life after his long battle with mental health.
As such, the festival which aims to bring Amapiano and Hip-Hop together in one venue has a line-up that includes Amaroto. A fact which in light of the rumours of the split between Reece and Zuma has provided hope that if the two do appear on stage together, it will confirm that the split was all speculation and was entirely unfounded.
However, there have been entertainment commentators that have used the speculation to perpetuate their own narratives as to the reason for the split and more egregious allegations. Like the ones made by controversial entertainment and gossip commentator Musa Khawula.
During his recent video where he spoke about the split between the two. Musa made some damaging and unfounded allegations against Amaroto. This is as he suggested that between the two artists, one has allegedly been implicated in rape allegations, which was part of the reason for their split.
But as we have come to learn about any accusations or utterings by Musa of late. It is that they are filled with falsities and sometimes are merely personal opinions and vendettas that seem to be specifically aimed at trending rather than actually spreading any truth.
