Babes Wodumo could not hide how she feels about being told to change her image in order to satisfy fans.
In an interview with TshisaLive, Babes Wodumo said that PR companies wanted her to change her image but she was adamant that she won’t change who she is.
"There was always one underlying problem. Most of the PR companies that I have tried to work with wanted to change me. They wanted me to put in heels and for me to be someone I am not. So I would get fed up and told them no, if you can't work with me as I then leave me alone."
Babes also shared how the P.R companies continued to make the wrong decisions for her image, especially when it came to the clothes she wore.
The Gqom queen detailed how she once went on TV wearing an outfit that was the total opposite of who she is and let's just say it didn't go down well for her as fans also expressed how much they did not like how she looked.
She explained that change of image was not the only reason she broke her relationships with P.R companies but other companies even tried to change the way she walks or talks.
"This other company even went a step further, telling me how to sit, how to talk, how to pose and to minimise my hand gestures. They wanted to turn me into a slay queen!"
Besides her look, Babes Wodumo also told Tshisa Live that she had financial issues with previous management as there were certain incidents where the money would just disappear and when she confronted the promoters they would respond by saying that her management had already accepted the money without Babes' knowledge.
However, Babes said she found a PR consultancy and they have agreed on a contract that allows her to do many things and to travel without restrictions and last but not least, be herself.
