Black Coffee Remembers The Accident That Left Him Paralysed

Award winning and internationally acclaimed Dj Black Coffee has reflected on the accident that left him paralysed. While yesterday the country was celebrating 30 years since the late Nelson Mandela was released out of prison and reeling in shock following the untimely passing of Grammy Award winning Ladysmith Black Mambazo founder Joseph Shabalala, Black Coffee took a trip down memory lane to his incident.

Black Coffee penned down a post and he spoke about the pain he endured in an accident that claimed 2 lives "30 years ago exactly at this hour I was in pain after an accident that took 2 lives while we were celebrating the release of this great human being Nelson Mandela from 27 years of prison (sic)," he captioned a newspaper snippet about Madiba's release.

Black Coffee's passion for music has always been palpable and he has soared to greater heights in his career he spoke about how music helped his healing process

"Reflecting on the pain I have been and still going thru while on a journey of recovery learning to accept the new me while being selfless about God's plans with me. I understand why HE gave me Music, to heal me 1st before it even gets to you. I'm grateful for every note and every melody. I will continue to follow HIS lead".

In 2017 the DJ left his followers inspired when he shared a picture of his arm without covering it and spoke about how he used to be insecure about it but those days are over now.
