Social media does not let people get away with bad hairstyles on an episode of Date My Family, let alone allegedly badly organized concerts like Black Coffee's Music Is King Festival this past weekend in Durban.
Concert attendees rushed to social media to spill the tea, that the festival was anything but festive. Weather was one of the main contributing factors to the uneventful occasion, bringing along heavy winds that disrupted most of the event.
After all the success and the hype that the Joburg leg of Black Coffee's Music Is King Festival had, of course the Durbanites were more than just a little disappointed at how things turned out for their show.
With all the backlash, Black Coffee could not ignore the noise and issued an apology on his social media, describing why the concert was such a disappointment and plagued with so many delays. In short, it was the bad weather and that they (those all in attendance) were instructed by the fire and safety department to evacuate the premises hours before the show.
Black Coffee has promised to rectify this mishap and wants to bring the people of KZN the night that they were so excited. A Music Is King Experience will be brought to the city on 22 December by Soulistic Agency.

My team and I are currently working tirelessly to bring back this experience, as previously planned for my hometown. Thank you to all the fans, sponsors and artists that were patient through the weather and for their unwavering love and support to us and Music Is King.
