All eyes are on SABC3's new talk show Afternoon Express, which hits our TV screens on Monday, 4 May.
The show, which has replaced 3Talk with Noeleen Maholwana-Sangqu, will be hosted by actress Bonnie Mbuli alongside Top Billing presenters Bonang Matheba and Jeannie D.
In an interview with Tumi Voster on 5FM, Bonang said South Africa "was never ready" for this show. She explained that Noeleen's space can never be filled. She added that Afternoon Express is a different show. " We want people to get 3Talk out of their minds."
She said the show is not shot in studio and that it has a completely different approach. "It's more of a lifestyle afernoon offering."
She said there's fashion, travel, music, cooking, etc. The cooking part really got Bonang excited. She told Tumi: "I love to cook, I finally get the opportunity to do that."
She revealed that the first episode will feature actress Terry Pheto and musicians Zolani Mahola and Karen Zoid.
Catch the first episode on SABC 3 on Monday at 4pm.
