Earlier in the month, the Kwaito star was found guilty of rape after the incident came to light back in 2013 after a sixteen your old girl accused him of the crime.
According to Sunday World Brickz's lawyer, Dumisani Mabunda confirmed their intentions to appeal the conviction as well as the sentence which is yet to be handed down to the Kwaito star.
Both lawyer and the accused are said to be unhappy about the conviction and sentence hence their appeal to the court.
Dumisani informed the publication that his client insists that he did not commit the crime and is determined to clear his name.
However, according to Magistrate John Baloyi, Brickz was found guilty as he failed to convince the court that he did not commit the crime.
The case has taken four years since the star was accused of allegedly raping a sixteen-year-old relative.
Brickz will appear at the Roodepoort Magistrate Court tomorrow, 20 July where he will be sentenced.
