According to a report made by City Press, the legal battle between Cassper Nyovest and his friend DJ Sumbody, has taken a new twist. Despite Cassper's efforts to try and sweep this one under the rug by claiming it is all lies, the publication now reports that the court ruled in favour of DJ Sumbody.

Entrepreneur and DJ Sumbody apparently obtained a court order instructing Cassper Nyovest to pay him R147K in royalties. This is for their 2018 collaboration, Remote Control which apparently got a deal with Samsung.
Last year, Cassper squashed rumours of an alleged beef between him and DJ Sumbody by posting videos of them out and about following the article. He then took to Twitter to deny having beef and labelled the reports 'lies.'
"The lies don't stop!!! Lmao... wtf man ?? Does my name sell that many papers ? That's the only that would make sense cause wow. Week in, week out, Cassper what what Cassper. What, y'all write any fucking thing as long is my name is there!!! La bora le marete lotlhe entlek!! Almal!!!" he said at the time.
The report by City Press, had Sumbody's side of the story via his spokesperson Palesa Dwaba of Tailormade Legal Solutions, who issued a statement confirming this lawsuit.
“This will also be duly chased down as the other side has reneged on a lot of the good faith agreements reached with them. The matter was withdrawn from the roll a day before going to trial, owing to a request from Cassper’s side that a negotiated settlement be reached so he would not lose his Samsung endorsement. Once this was agreed to, his management signed the settlement agreement and then went on to ignore and violate it shortly thereafter,” the statement reads as per the publication.
Even the year before that, it was revealed that DJ Sumbody wants Cassper to pay R500K for the songs 'Tseya Ukwe' and 'Remote Control.'
Cassper has remained mum about this recent report.
Cassper Nyovest recently had to deny illuminati affiliations once again when a fan asked him how can he join.
The rapper responded by saying does he really think people can just join groups and become wealthy.
He faced the same allegations last year and still denied it. “LOL, well this is silly. I pray for my blessings and I work hard. Simple math. As for things that involve snakes, bafethu, miss me,” he wrote.
