Rapper Cassper Nyovest has been contributing to the South African hip-hop history books, having filled up The Dome, The Orlando stadium and now is set to FNB Stadium in Dec, Cassper says that he has never made a profit from all these events that have costed him millions.

The rapper has expressed on many occasions - on his interview on SABC 3's Real Talk with Anele and on twitter - that he does not have a sponsor for his next venture in making history with his event that is set to host 75 000 people at the FNB stadium and the costs for the stage, the marketing and the venue will all come out of his own pocket of which all of that amounts to R15 million.

In a recent interview with Masechaba on Metro FM's The Drive with MoFlava and Masechaba Cassper Nyovest expressed:

“I’m broke, I don’t have money.”

The rapper went on to say that because he has had to finance this event himself, he had planned on selling one of his luxurious Bentley's to fill the gap.

“I was going to sell one of my cars to a guy, but he had a family emergency and he couldn't buy the car.” he said

Even though this show might seem to be digging a whole in the rappers pocket, with there being no profit made from none of these shows, Cassper says that the investment is worth it and his willing to do that for his brand.

“The show does not make money. We don’t make a profit; I’m investing in the industry and the name Cassper Nyovest. In time I will be amongst the greatest although I didn't make enough money to show it...sometimes I feel like maybe I should stop investing so much in my craft and buy a Rolls Royce but I think I wouldn't be as far as I am if I didn't respect my craft,” he said.
