South African musician, Cassper Nyovest cannot seem to catch a break when it comes to his Any Minute Now merchandise. The rapper finally adhered to the numerous requests which begged and pleaded for to release merchandise, and dropped the range on Friday, 16 October 2020. Whilst fans were happy that their wishes had been answered, some were not pleased with the offering that her put out.

The merch has been made exclusively available for purchase at SportScene stores nationwide, and will only be offer a limited amount of pieces to customers. The product line includes the SportScene x Cassper Nyovest Men's Hoodie in Black for R899, SportsScene x Cassper Nyovest Men's T-Shirt in Charcoal for R399.95 and the SportScene x Cassper Nyovest Men's T-Shirt in White for R399.5.

Cassper’s offering was designed with solid colours and merely showed a graphic of the album’s cover art on the front. According to SportsScene, the all three pieces also feature Cassper’s ‘Family Tree’ record label tag on the inside neckline.

Known to be upfront and honest with the hit maker, Cassper’s fans offered their critique on her limited edition collection. Many believed that the design was simple and easy to replicate, and was being sold at an exorbitant price. Some of the tweets included, “But Cass couldn’t you have put a little bit of creativity there? Maybe track names on the back to make it look like a band tee at its best?”, “I saw the price of the hoodie and almost fainted.”, and, “is it just a hoodie with your CD cover?”.

Fans have been waiting for this since Bonang Matheba received a package from Cassper’s Family Tree store. Fans felt like the merch was only being given to celebs but the rapper quickly clarified that he had in fact sent Bonang a gift.

A few weeks ago he tweeted, “Yoh!!! Bonang ong plaisitse ka batho!!!  The merch will be available soon, i promise guys!!!! Im making a plan!!! Collectang macente so long so you don't miss the drop. It’s very very limited edition stuff so yeah… only one drop. Don't say I never warned you.”.

Along with his merch drop, Cassper is also expected to release the hard copies of his album at the end of next week, and hopefully will be able to make up for the basic clothing pieces.
