This week, actress Charlize Theron talks about the bond she has with her country and the work she is doing to prevent the spread of HIV and AIDS in Africa.
When asked about her connection to South Africa, our home-grown international success emphasised her deep feelings towards the country of her birth, “I feel like I am made in this land, no matter where I live or travel. There is a connection so deep to my people and my country ‒ this country ‒ that will never go away.”
Her work in South Africa includes highlighting issues such as tuberculosis, malaria and HIV/Aids.
