Many would probably attest to the numerous times when South Africa's newly appointed president displayed nuances of all things cool. From jogging at the beach to riding the train with the masses, this guy is certainly one of us, isn't he?
Just recently there was a video that made the rounds on the internet, whereby President Cyril Ramaphosa is flanked by other members of the African National Congress (ANC) on stage as they do SA's most popular dance, Vosho.
The President joined award winning house vocalist, Holly Rey on stage and he effortlessly got up and down, as is required of the vosho.
Below is the video that has almost everybody seeing the President in a new light.
South African entertainer, Zodwa Wabantu clearly did the things when playing her part in popularising the Vosho.
American Grammy award winning musician, Chris Brown was once spotted doing the vosho in a video. However upon close inspection, many argued that, Chris didn't do justice to the Vosho. While others were impressed with his creativity, as some recognised that Chris had added his own nuances to the dance.
Proving that the Vosho knows no bounds, it also has had an impact on powerful and provocative politicians such as Economic Freedom Fighter (EFF)'s commander in chief, Julius Malema, who also did the Vosho in parliament.
These sorts of displays of nonchalance from our leaders are quite entertaining, and it makes them appear more relatable and accessible.
