Shimza first got dragged on Twitter for showing off just how rich he is by bragging about his shower. Then he asked people if 2022 is going to be their year once again.

The responses under his tweet were from people who thought he said that from a point of privilege. One of the responses was, "Yes, we're not beneficiaries of corruption kalok."
Shimza clarified what he meant by his tweet and said, "My advise for 2022 and beyond, turn this into โThis day is my dayโ so that when you fail today, you try again tomorrow and not wait till next year."

But that still did not stop people form calling him trash. To make matters worse, news of Shimza being under investigation for one of his alleged government tenders, made him trend once more.
Minister Mmamoloko Kubayi-Ngubane had a ministerial cookoff with media personality and "chef" Somizi Mhlongo. The event was held by the South African tourism industry at Shimza's restaurant Hang Awt in Tembisa.

Months after the debacle caused chaos on social media, Sowetan Live reports that the Public Service Commission (PSC) reportedly has launched an investigation to look into how Shimza got awarded the R150 000 tender.
To make matters worse for himself, Shimza said he got a call from the department to ask for a quotation of how much the event would cost. He was then suddenly awarded the tender, without making an application.
To address these claims, Shimza promised to host a space for his followers to lay the matter once and for all. A few of his followers listened in but he tricked them by only speaking about his upcoming event on Saturday called OMS Day Festival.
Performing at the event is the likes of Cassper Nyovest, Mr. JazziQ, Zakes Bantwini and many others.

Hopefully this event will not get the negative traction his Kunye festival got as a woman on Twitter spoke about her disappointment. Furaha B Tungande exposed Kunye for their exorbitant price list, "Should have gone to Konka instead of Kunye yesterday, do these prices even make logical sense?! Then there wasnโt sufficient seating, they should have told us to bring camp chairs because weโre at Innes free cup 2010. It was either you sat on the grass or you stood. What a mess."
"The normal Henny was R2000. Thatโs when I knew that I was in hell. Thereโs no way! Not even an Ice Tropez for the babies. Imagine we had to bite the bullet & just buy a bottle of something that would make sense. Hayi no ways, after paying R450 for a ticket even?" she said.
She then said Kunye was a joke, "THEN THE CHAMPAGNE WAS HOT. The water was HOT. They ran out of ice. Cheses yesterday was a Mazza. A joke my dhaling. Iโm done ranting. Just sharing so people can make an informed decision. Personally Iโm okay. We had to make the most of the situation, what were we gona do?
"Buy a bottle for R2000 then you must still buy a cup for R15 then the bar tender still wants to ask if youโre tipping?! My brother please, with what money that is left?!"
But Shimza apologised and explained that there has been quiet a lot going on in the background.
Sorry about your experience Fifi, in the background a lot was going on however that should never be at the expense of your experience, will do better next time and thank you once again for coming ๐๐พ๐๐พ๐๐พโค๏ธ
