Some of you were probably not even born when Felicia Mabuza-Suttle was in the entertainment industry. It’s been more than 20 years and she’s still doing the damn thing!
What we also love about Mam’ Felicia is that she’s all about empowering other people.
She was on Trending SA this week and spoke about the importance of women putting each other on.
“What is important for women to please consider doing is pull up a chair for another woman.”
She continued: “When you take that elevator down, send it down to another woman. Don’t be ‘I am the only woman.’ Be ‘I am the only woman who brought other women on board. That is critical. And somehow, we find it very difficult especially as black women to do that for each other.”
We’ve seen quite a lot of famous and not so famous people supporting each other lately and we’re here for it! Putting other people on really doesn’t take anything from you as a person. You should try it and see how amazing you will feel.
“… And as much as people don’t see our actual friendship out there, you know in terms of when I see her personally, and when we text each other and whatnot she’s one of the most supportive people,” she said in an interview on RGB.
