Flabba may have been laid to rest yesterday, but the saga has continued through his girlfriend and alleged killer. Sindisiwe Manqele has told the court that she killed Flabba in self-defence. The 26-year-old appeared in the Alexandra Magistrate's Court today to apply for bail and she pleaded not guilty.

She's been granted R10 000 bail.

Sindisiwe allegedly stabbed and killed the rapper last Monday morning.

eNCA reported that Sindisiwe's lawyer handed in a medical report, as evidence of multiple soft tissue injuries. She reportedly stated in court papers that she should be released on bail because there was no proof that she would disturb public order.

Flabba, who was a member of Skwatta Kamp, was buried on Sunday at the West Park Cemetry. The funeral was attended by fans, friends and family members. While the star has been laid to rest, details of what happened on the day he was murdered have emerged.

Sunday World has reported that the lovers started fighting at The Sands, a nightclub in Sandton, Johannesburg. Police officers, who did not want to be named, told the paper that Sindisiwe slapped Flabba at The Sands after accusing him of flirting with his ex-girlfriend. One officer told the paper that the woman, who is being charged with murder, got angry when she saw the rapper constantly taking a break to chat to his ex. She reportedly confronted him, asking him why he  disrespected her by getting cosy with his ex in her presence. "The two argued over this and she slapped him," the cop told Sunday World.

The officer told the paper that after she stabbed him, Sindi said: "Sorry, I have done something wrong. I stabbed him by mistake.'" By that time,  Flabba was screaming and saying, 'f**K, this b**** has just stabbed me'. He was declared dead on the scene.

Family spokesperson Tshepang Habedi said his brother was stabbed once in the heart.

The two groups traded insults, and the residents insisted Sindisiwe should not be granted bail.
