Following reports that Gugu Khathi was fired from The Real Housewives Of Johannesburg, the reality star has in an instagram message to ZAlebs, stated that she was not fired - she quit.
This comes in response to reports by The Citizen, alleging that Gugu and her fellow RHOJ Christall had allegedly been canned from the show.

Gugu has also strongly refuted the rumours going around that her absence from the show is because of the fight between her and Christall a few months back. She says the disagreement was between the two ladies and the production house, and had nothing to do with Christall.
When asked for further comment, Gugu said the matter is still in court, so they are not allowed to speak much on it. As you would remember, following the incident where she allegedly assaulted Christall, the latter had threatened Gugu with a lawsuit. Now Gugu reveals that she and Brinette sued Christall right back.

Reality show season is upon us and fans cannot wait to feast their eyes on the Real Housewives franchises. The new cast of Real Housewives Of Durban was received well by viewers, despite Ayanda Ncwane's departure. However when it comes to Real Housewives Of Johannesburg, viewers are even threatening to boycott the show, because of Christall's exclusion, which left them angered.

According to reports by The Citizen, three cast members will not be included on the RHOJ. These are as mentioned Christall Kay, Gugu Khathi and her friend Brinette Seopela.
A wild guess as to why they got excluded is probably because of their fight at a Pretoria nightclub which left Christall's face bruised.
The Citizen reported on social media that Christall was "not approached to feature in the new season and that she only discovered on Friday that new individuals had been approached to join the show."

Now, fans are angered at Christall's exclusion only and said she carries the entire show on her back, and the other ladies are just mere props. Gugu Khathi on the other hand did not even appear on our small screens as she only joined on season 3. She got given the boot without her episodes seeing the day of light.
The three reportedly got into a fight last year and it is probably the reason for their axing.
According to Sunday World, Brinette and Gugu allegedly ganged up on Christall and even changed shoes so they could apparently fight properly.
It is said the the bouncers at the club had to intervene but did not call the police. But instead they rushed Christall to the hospital.
Speaking to the publication a month after the club brawl, a beaten and bruised Christall threatened legal action against the two. Christall made it clear that it was Gugu who punched her in the eye, resulting in a black eye. "Gugu Khathi is the one who punched me in the eye, resulting in a black eye. She did this when I was sitting down and there was no threat to her,” Christall said. "I have evidence to prove this. She is scared over what she has done and is trying to make out a case against me. Charges are currently being laid against her."
Confirming that the incident did take place, Gugu said her best friend Christall, only picked her name when there were so many people in the club, “I can confirm the incident happened, but what shocks is that fact that out of all the people in the club, how can Christal choose my name, there were too many people in that club, why does she pick me, besties don’t do that to each other.”
Christall even made headlines for possibly losing out on her estate. She lost out on thousands because a buyer did not stick to her end of the deal to pay the monies on time.
