Wow! Has it been that long? Hulisani Ravele's career is an adult! The industry veteran recently celebrated 18 years in broadcasting .
The former child star, who had great success as a YoTV presenter, hosted a private dinner to celebrate this milestone. She also posted a video on YouTube titled My Journey, My Future, where she talks about where it all began.
Hulisani, who's also known as CC, got her a taste of the industry on kiddies show Pule and Friends, where she played Sabrina. In 2000, she joined YoTV as a presenter and was on the show for eight years.
"I went from primary school, to high school, to university with South African viewers. That was the biggest show I'd ever been on. I did every kind of format of television that you can think of... It really moulded everything that I am as a presenter and a host today," she said on the YouTube video.
After YoTV, Hulisani went to host shows like Vodacom Millionaires and ANN7's I Am South African. "I am was the launch of Hulisani Ravele as the future of South African story-telling and setting the bar." She's now working on The Hulisani Ravele Show (HRS). She explained on Twitter that this will be a talk show that will entertain, educate and empower young South Africans.
"I want to tell authentic South African stories. On our television screens we see so many international stories." She added that this will be the best show that SA has seen.
