Hulisani Ravele opened up about a lucky escape she had at the hands of two strangers in a cemetery
The radio & TV presenter was visiting the grave of a loved one when she met two suspicious looking men.
Hulisani detailed the incident to her Twitter followers in the following tweets;
Hulisani admitted her fear got the better of her;
She reflected on what could have been a life-threatening situation;
She also advised another tweep to not repeat the same mistake by going to the cemetery alone;
The incident has left Hulisani shaken, to say the least.
Although nothing untoward happened, the reality is it could potentially have been so much worse for Hulisani; rape, murder, kidnappings and abuse of various kinds are a daily occurrence.
In the last few weeks we have heard countless reports of gender-based violence attacks adding to the startling sequence of events known as femicide in the country.
Living in constant fear that something bad is going to happen to them are the new sad reality for South African women.
This needs to stop!
