Many Twitter users are not taking kindly to the picture, and they are reading into the gesture. Some have seen the gesture as an attempt on the part of the manager and his team to capitalise on the young viral sensation's new-found fame. It doesn't sit well with her fans that nobody knew about her or her management until the first video of her dancing to "Adiwele" by Young Stunna.

We should have seen female DJ's surrounded by her. A male dominated industry 💔

Sbwl Uncle Waffles to keep winning without guys surrounding her. I want all the Female Dj’s in the industry to be around her. 🖤

You guys don’t seriously think that going on tours means that she’s safe and protected?
— CélineTanya (@caeliina) November 3, 2021
She doesn’t look safe around all those men. It’s a clear red flag. This is South Africa. More specifically the South African music industry. https://t.co/qX9XOBCLwG
Uncle Waffles must be protected at all cost. I see a new predator everyday

The controversy comes only hours after Uncle Waffles shared news that she would be going on tour across Africa. She captioned the poster announcement "Adiwele", a nod to the song that made her famous. The caption could also be seen as her subtly trolling social media users who recently called her overrated and said they were tired of her only playing one song in all the videos of her they have seen online.

As some fans express their discomfort with her management, others are insisting that the fact that she is going on tour means that her representation is working well for her.
Uncle Waffles team is doing wonders for her , they had a plan for her n they’ve executed it perfectly for her. Why do Twitter feminists want her to leave that management label ke?🤔

The social media response of fans being concerned about the celebrity's welfare is surprising, considering just the other day, she was trending online for being "boring". People expressed that she needed to make up her mind and tell them whether she would be a DJ, a dancer or an "Adiwele" influencer. They said her gimmick was running its time, and some even suggested that her wave of fame would not last the year.

It is quite the shocker that fans are now back on board with her "gimmick", to the point of accusing Riky Rick of trying to jump on her wave, and now her manager is getting the same.
