Isaac “Zac” Moselana is a Seshego born and bred commercial attorney who deals with contracts and civil litigation. He is known by his friends as “Gaddafi” and known as the chief justice of CBD Twitter. He single-handedly brought Khaya’s Dlanga’s company, Attorney Alliance to its knees for threatening people with legal action on twitter.

The company, Attention Alliance where Khaya Dlanga apparently had shares in had 430 followers on Twitter on the 13th of January, then had 3003 followers on the 14th of January and were extinct by the 17th of January…account deactivated!
Here are some facts about the commercial attorney:
How did you get the “Gaddafi” nickname?
*Chuckles* It’s actually “baby Gaddafi” , my late friend Blessing “Junior” Mpofu gave me that nickname while we were still at university because of my abilities to pull ranks when I feel prejudiced. I did not want to but I was forced because people would want to bully you just because you are short or don’t seem like you are rich. So my solution would be to go above them and get things done. This is why some of us went to school anyways. To learn how to protect ourselves from bullies.
Your profile says you’re a commercial attorney, what does that entail? A day in the life of an attorney…
This means I deal with business law: Contracts and civil litigation which is court processes between people or juristic persons. My “normal” day entail doing consultations, reading old and recent case law, drafting legal opinions, sitting is hours negotiating and drafting court papers. Truth be told, court appearance account to 5% of my legal work. We try by all means to avoid going to court by attempting to settle matters.
How did you get the “People’s attorney” title on twitter?
In a bid to protect the sanctity and integrity of the profession and particularly protect black legal professionals or our image, I decided to investigate a company and its owners that was threatening people with legal action on twitter. Seemed like an odd and unusual practice.
So I asked the owners to make known their relevant documents that allows them to practice as lawyers, which instead of doing so, they threatened me with legal processes.
I am called the people’s attorney because I decided to stand up for those people that got abused on Twitter, I never wanted credit or an apology but I wanted the people affected to get recourse, which they did.

What inspired you to take on Khaya Dlanga and have you two made up?
I didn’t take on him per ser. I took on the company and its owners. He happened to be the company’s shareholder. I wouldn’t say we have made up. I have never interacted with him directly although in a tweet image he posted he mentioned learning something from what I had done. I have no personal grudges against either him, his associates and even the legal practitioner who sent me the cease and desist letter.
One of your tweets read: “I believe as legal practitioners we have a duty to be honest to first year LLB students about the harsh realities they are going to face once they complete their LLB. Especially black women. I would have changed degrees if I was told the truth about practice.”If you didn’t study law, what would you have studied instead?
Physiotherapy or Medicine
What more can your followers expect from you this year?
A lot of simple information easily available on the internet or just basic legal information and not necessarily advice. Just “heads up” there and there. I do however hope to create a new culture on Twitter of constructive engagement and alleviating the culture of personal attacks. The days of cyber bullying will be long gone.
Here are some reactions from tweeps:
“So he instructed fake attorneys to make a fake but convincing letter of demand to get...apologies??”
“Khaya single-handedly destroyed this company. Ntwana, over some characters.”
“Khaya Dlanga used the Attorney Alliance, who are fake lawyers and do not even have a LLB Twitter degree for people to apologised to him. South Africa is alive with possibilities.”
