The exciting Jack Daniel's Music Scouts competition returns again this year and will be giving South African people an opportunity to shine. If Idols or X-Factor  haven't quite worked out for you, you need not worry; Jack Daniels has built this platform exclusively for unknown artists and you too will be given the opportunity to show what you can do on a grand stage.

As we all know T-Bo Touch was a judge in last year's edition of the competition and this year he will be joined by two new judges; rapper, Khuli Chana and DJ/Producer, Ganyani. Each judge has a different musical background to the others which will surely add an even more interesting element to the competition.

When asked about the newest edition of the competition, judge T-Bo Touch said:

“This year, we are going to look for something different. It’s not just about finding talent but also about empowering performers who will go on to give others the chance they were given. They have to have a combination of talent and leadership because a lot of competition winners struggle to make it after they win. This year, Khuli, Ganyani and myself need to nurture the winner and try to teach them to keep themselves going in the industry.”

Newly announced judge, Khuli Chana seems to be looking forward to the competition. The rapper said:

“The SA music industry has definitely grown. We’ve moved from just being opening acts to headlining at each year’s Durban July."

While DJ Ganyani had brief, but simple advice to give to all Jack Daniel's Music Scout hopefuls:

“Be bold, be unique and stay true to your style.”

All talented and unsigned musicians, vocalists and DJs are invited to enter the competition. If you think you have what it takes to shine above the rest, you can visit www.jackscouts.co.za and submit your entry online!

The winning artists will win a trip to the Miami Winter Music Conference in 2015, an event that attracts the hottest and most popular musicians from around the world every year.
