Mzansi did not hold anything back when they expressed how they felt about Lasizwe and Mihlali's YouTube skit.

The video titled: When Your Best Friend Passes On, received mixed reactions and they were mostly aimed at Mihlali, whose acting skills were given a lukewarm reaction.

A lot of people felt that her being included was 'embarrassing' for her. Hitting back at the 'hate', Lasizwe clarified that they were just having fun.

Speaking to TshisaLive, the comedian and YouTuber said that they were not promoting any brand or working, but it was just two friends having some harmless fun.

"People don't understand that we are just having fun. It's not a job or an alignment with the brand, it's just us having fun, doing what we love and we really enjoyed shooting it. We weren't working, we weren't doing anything work related. It was us just putting up a camera and having fun, and being in different characters," he clarified.

Infact, he revealed that they had planned this collab since last year. "...one day when we were in Atlanta, we made a bet that in 2020 we were going to collaborate," he proclaimed.

For some, this level of hate would be discouraging, but for Lasizwe he reckons that it is up to the audience if they would love to see them collaborate on another video.

Lasizwe is a comedian and Mihlali is a make-up artist, the two fusing their worlds together would be very interesting for many.
