During the week, Ntsiki Mazwai sent out a scathing attack towards SABC news anchor - Leanne Manas. Ntsiki labelled the SABC news anchor as mediocre and also added that Leanne has the advantage of white privilege.
We're not sure where the attack stemmed from but Ntsike went full steam ahead with her opinion about what she thought of Leanne.
In a polite response, Leanne made it clear that she held no animosity towards Ntsiki and hopes that they can one day meet so that Ntsiki will be able to know Leanne better as a person and not because of the colour of her skin.
Ntsiki responded to Leanne's tweet and let's just say Ntsiki did not hold back on her continued opinion about Leanne.
This is not the first time Ntsiki has expressed her thoughts about Leanne, and we doubt it will be the last. In July, Ntsiki criticised Cosmopolitan magazine for their August cover of Nomzamo Mbatha in which they labelled the actress an activist.
The subject caused a 24-hour debate on social media about whether Nomzamo deserved to be labelled an activist.
Nomzamo eventually responded to the activism debate during an interview on Metro FM, and this is what she had to say:
“I think the semantics around so and so can be called this, so and so can’t be called this, I think it’s divisive, I think it’s elitist, I think it’s gatekeeping.
“And, unfortunately, if we’re going to use the bondage of Black Girl Magic then it’s important for us to see the divisiveness of it. Who does it belong to the Black Girl Magic? Are we only together when it’s time to hashtag everything? Why can’t we be together beyond just the hashtag of the day, or of the week?”
