We're sure you've heard, through the grapevine, about the many jaw-dropping stories about how much of a cut-throat environment the entertainment industry can be.
Whilst we may see Instagram pictures of our local celebs living la vida loca, jetting private planes and making quite a lot of money, what it took for them to get to that level comes with a whole lot of unwanted baggage. And Lootlove knows all about that.
The media personality recently made it onto the cover of ELLE Magazine's January cover issue and opened up about a few of her concerns related to how women are treated in the industry and more.
Loot Love shared with the publication the many challenges she's faced as a woman in the industry and her frustration with all the unnecessary competitiveness that comes with it
"I think for us it is very unfortunate because the stereotypes that you hear about all the cattiness and bullshit are true. The pool is small, and you will get people who will step over you to get to the top, we are all trying to feed our families, feed our children & build our legacies."
And if it's not the competitiveness that she has to deal with, it is also the sexist nature of the industry that has made her experience of working in such a business a bit challenging.
"Sometimes you get booked for your skills, but because you are considered pretty and men with money and power want to access you."
But all of these pitfalls are not experienced in vain as she believes and hopes that the more women experience such, the more they will speak out about the unfair and uncomfortable experiences they're exposed to within the industry, especially when it comes to sexual harassment.
She, of course, did also speak briefly about her relationship with Reason and that it is one of the most amazing parts of her life at the moment.
