Fans noticed how underwhelming Makhadzi's performance was when she performed her hit single MaGear. Taking to Twitter, she went on a rant explaining what happened, concluding that she is done with the SAMAs.
In now-deleted tweets, Makhazi put the blame on the SAMAs saying they did not allow her to rehearse properly, revealing that she used her cellphone.
"I rehearsed with a cellphone on the stage to get my choreography. I asked to rehearse with the camera guys so they can read my moves no one listened to me. I asked for smokes and fireworks they promised but never delivered. But I remained a queen."
She added that she wants nothing to do with the SAMAs anymore and is focusing on making music for her fans only.
"The award I got was my blessing from my ancestors I am sure the person who changed the name will be fired tomorrow. I don't want summer (SAMA) awards anymore. I want to do my music for YouTube, so my fans can buy data and support me without favour. "
A tweet she did not delete though was exposing the SAMAs for giving others ample time to rehearse, alleging that she was only given 5 minutes. She also said they wanted her to do their choreography and not hers.
"The problem started when I decline their choreography because I always want to perform with my own dancers. But the most important thing is how can you let me rehearse 5 minutes where others were given unlimited time. rehearsing with a cellphone in front of the band," she wrote.

Fans defended her and told her to focus on herself and not award ceremonies.
I'd advise my Queen to not say much, you have already a massive number of fans fighting for your name, some are even one of the biggest celebrities you looked up to. Please don't ruin your career trying to clarify what happened. We saw everything. You're the Queen of all Time.🏆
