Despite receiving the honour of being called one of the best burgers in the world, Maps Maponyane has made the tough decision to shut down his eatery Buns Out indefinitely...
This amidst the global pandemic of COVID-19 forcing many to stay indoors and many businesses to shut it's doors too.
And now with lockdown looming, all non-essential services are expected to be shut down for that period, greatly impacting the livelihood of small and medium business owners.
The ZAlebrity and entrepreneur made the sad announcement on social media to the disappointment of all his fans and followers.
He tweeted; "After trying to stretch out any kind of production including deliveries, in order to still keep our staff employed & customers happy, we've decided to indefinitely close Buns Out. We don't know how long it will be or if we'll survive this period, but it's the right thing to do...
Maps went on to state that his first priority was always safety.
"It's tough as a new small business, but at the end of the day we need to keep everyone safe, & staying operating in any kind of way would completely go against this.
And as much as fans were heartbroken for Maps, they respected his decision.
Some even vowed to show the star support once things returned to normal.
Askies! We're hoping and praying that Buns Out 2.0 makes a huge comeback!
