Somizi has been dragging Mohale on his reality show Living The Dream with Somizi S5 for the past couple of weeks. Mohale’s were up in arms following Somizi's constant jabs at him, and they wondered if this season's content would be centered around him.
Now, Showmax recently announced that it will release a tell-all special in which Mohale spills more details about his estranged ex-husband Somizi Mhlongo. Mohale sat down with news anchor Aldrin Sampear, and he discussed his alleged toxic marriage with Somizi.
In the trailer, Mohale tells Aldrin that he was happy until Somizi became controlling and reminded him that he was beneath him: “I was really myself when I was with him and I could express myself in many ways… I was happy until certain things started to happen… Like the control and constantly being reminded that I bring nothing to the table except my pretty face.”
The trailer also shows Mohale addressing his abuse allegations against Somizi. “I remember him saying that he needs to mess up my face,” Mohale says to Aldrin, before the trailer cuts to him talking about how, “I crawled down the stairs.” The trailer then ends with Aldrin asking Mohale why he didn’t open a case. Mohale: On the Record will premiere on 4 August 2022, first on Showmax

The tell-all interview will give Mohale the opportunity to explain his version of events and correct any misinformation about him. “A lot has been said about me, both true and untrue,” said Mohale. The actor and influencer said he initially had no intentions to address what transpired in their marriage due to an agreement they had, but he felt compelled to when the agreement was broken
“I initially had no intentions to publicly speak of the events that have occurred, due to an agreement I had with the other parties involved. But when the agreement was dishonoured by the other party, it became paramount that I tell my truth as I know it. With all the misinformation in the public domain, it is my responsibility to correct any propaganda as I represent not only myself, but those that may have experienced a story similar to mine. I would also like people to truly get to know me for who I am, as opposed to who they have assumed me to be.”
“Having told the story of the wedding, we wanted to explore everything that followed,” says Candice Fanguiero, head of content at Showmax. “Living The Dream With Somizi S5 is currently the most popular title on Showmax but it’s just one perspective, so we’re now adding Mohale’s voice so he can speak for himself in this special.”
