According to the Daily Sun, Koze Kuse singer Mondli Ngcobo’s father has passed away after a long battle with lung cancer.
The publication revealed that his father, Alfred Ngcobo, passed away at the Parklands Hospital in Durban, KZN on Monday, 29 June.
The singer revealed to the publication that his father had been admitted to hospital a few days before his death. His father had been in and out of hospital for some time before his death.
“It is very painful. I can’t even talk right now. He had lung cancer and was put on treatment the first time he went to hospital. The doctor decided to change the dose, but I think it didn’t agree with him," Mondli told Daily Sun.
The mourning singer mentioned that he’d be returning back home with his family in preparation for his father’s funeral. He has also cancelled all gigs that were scheduled for this week, apart from his performance at the Durban July Biker’s Paradise Rally.
Mondli Ngcobo currently features on DJ duo Unplugged's latest single, entitled Rain.
