So, Ntsiki Mzwai woke up one morning and hurled that tweet about Nomzamo not being an activist and that she is paid for her looks and other unfriendly remarks written in a whole thread. Fans of both women are as divided as they are on Cassper Nyovest versus AKA. This is the sort of power that celebrities have over us; we can go to war over their personal battles!
However, I’m not taking sides on this one. Why? Because I love them both. Although I have openly confessed to having a debilitating crush on Nomzamo – who doesn’t – I also like Ntsiki. Honestly, I do. In fact, if both Nomzamo and Ntsiki were in a bar (hopefully not smashing bottles over each other’s heads) seated alone at different tables, I might struggle to choose which woman to hit on first. You know, because that’s the rule in this male-dominated world; a woman seated alone in a bar is asking to be hit on, right?
I would look first to Ntsiki, then to Nomzamo, then Ntsiki, then Nomzamo. And then I would choose Ntsiki, even though Miss Mbatha is the one who is considered unanimously beautiful. Why Ntsiki? Because Ntsiki is feisty. She is always looking for a fight. And I love a little fire in my relationship. Nomzamo seems kind-hearted and emotional – I see that in her philanthropic work and also in the way she can summon tears so easily on screen.
But back to the matter at hand. Nomzamo has remained silent in all this. For me, there is no better way to prove that you are bigger. It’s like when a tiny Chihuahua runs out the gate and barks at you. And then you just keep walking. Best clap-back ever!
