Palesa Madisakwane sets the record straight on those comments she made on the previous episode of Living The Dream With Somizi. In the previous episode, Palesa told of the very first time she found out Somizi is gay. She even shared how his mother, the late Mary Twala told her that she should give them the baby and live on with her life.

But clarifying a few things, Palesa said her wording was taken out of context. This is because clips need to be cut in order to allow space for other clips to be edited into the episode.
To clarify what she really meant, Palesa wrote that she was not ordered to give away Bahumi but was rather presented with an opportunity to continue her studies while they took care of Bahumi.
"When uMa [Mary Twala] said I can give the baby to them, she was not ordering me she was not insisting or taking my baby away from me. As a caring and loving mother she was to me she meant she will take care of my baby and she loved me enough to want to see me go back to school and make a good life for myself," she clarified
She said she was not restricted in seeing Bahumi and revealed that she could see her whenever she wanted.
"Anytime any day I was allowed to fetch my baby and visit my baby hence I became part of the family. Please note most of these clips are edited out because of time so please do not misinterpret or misunderstand the conversation. God blessed me with a beautiful and loving mother and family. May her beautiful soul rest in peace," she ended off.
In the previous episode, Palesa said Mary Twala and his sister, were the ones who first reveal to her that Somizi is gay
“When I went to speak to Somizi’s mother and his sister, I remember Somizi’s mother saying ‘my child, you can see how Somizi is. He isn’t like other boys. Give us the child and go on with your life.”

“I had also just found out that he was gay and I had fallen pregnant with his child, you know? It was a confusing time of my life to understand what being gay meant. I think in my little girly mind, I thought I had a boyfriend,” she added. “I could brag about my boyfriend being a part of Sarafina whenever he came to see me,” she laughed.
In an interview with Cassper Nyovest on the Braai Show, Somizi said she knew about his sexuality and was only testing him.
“Even the baby mama knows that when she told me she liked me, I told her I was gay. She said I was lying and she tested me. I decided to go for it and that’s how it happened,” he told Cassper.
But Palesa also addressed this saying Somizi lied about that, “What hurts me the most is that when he does his interviews or when I read somewhere… he would often say that I knew he is gay and that is false. When he says I knew that he was gay, how did I know such? Where would I have learned about homosexuality through him.”
In the episode, she also spoke about how they felt about Somizi getting married but not paying damages for Bahumi. “If she wants to change her surname to Mhlongo, she is a Mhlongo at the end of the day. There is nothing I can do, but I am just worried (about) what my dad will say. My father always says that there are steps that need to be taken,” she said.
“It’s not about money, it’s just about certain things to be corrected so that we can give her our blessings,” she added.
